Fun, confidence inspiring ballet classes for age 3 and upwards.
The most beautiful and challenging of all dance styles, requiring grace, discipline and strength. At Let’s Dance in York, we recommend that all students begin with this style. We have ballet classes from age 3+.
Students taking ballet classes can take RAD examinations from Pre-Primary to Grade 8 and Vocational exams.
For students we start with Pre-Primary ballet; which encourages coordination, musicality and imagination. Children will learn co-ordination, gross motor and fine motor skills whilst enjoying being expressive and creative.
Ballet class uniform
Pre-Primary and Primary ballet
Short-sleeved pink leotard, pink georgette cross over skirt, ballet socks and satin ballet shoes.
Grade 1 and 2 ballet
Blue leotard, ballet socks, satin ballet shoes, 3 ribbon character skirt and character shoes.
Grade 2 – ballet tights can be worn.
Grade 2 – ballet tights can be worn.
Grade 3 to 5 ballet
Faith navy blue leotard, ballet tights, satin ballet shoes, 4 ribbon character skirt and character shoes.

Grade 6 to 8 ballet
Black leotard, long black georgette skirt, ballet tights, leather split sole ballet shoes, 4 ribbon character skirt and character shoes.
Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate
Black leotard, ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, soft points (from Intermediate) and point shoes.
